Ukraine will keep contacts with CIS on level of representative of embassy in Minsk

Kiev. June 19. KazTAG - Ukraine has not yet sent official documents on withdrawal from the CIS statutory bodies, but has notified that contacts with the CIS Executive Committee will be at the level of the representative of the embassy in Minsk, said Sergey Lebedev, CIS executive committee chairman.
"As for the withdrawal of Ukraine, we hear a lot about it, but we have not received any documents," the Belarusian media quoted Lebedev.
On Monday he told journalists in Minsk, the executive committee received a "note that a diplomat will be appointed in the Ukrainian embassy in Belarus, who will be responsible for the contacts with the CIS Executive Committee."
"We hope that these contacts will be continued," S. Lebedev added.
In this regard, he stressed that "Ukraine's non-participation in the integration interaction within the CIS is not beneficial neither for Ukraine, nor for other countries of the Commonwealth".
"We continue to advocate Ukraine to return to our family - the CIS", he said.
