Tokayev criticized situation with chaotic development of Astana against backdrop of a lack of parks

Astana. February 1. KazTAG - President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has criticized the situation with the chaotic development of Astana against the backdrop of a lack of parks reports Akorda.
“Astana should become a comfortable city for living. First of all, it is necessary to reconsider the concept of the development of the urban environment. Today, there is a lack of parks in the city, there are few places for comfortable walks and recreation for residents. Unfortunately, instead of dealing with this issue, the akimat gives permission for the construction of facilities. A residential complex immediately appears on an empty piece of land. Whereas more public spaces, green spaces and pedestrian streets are needed. When planning the city, all this should be taken into account in advance,” Tokayev said at a meeting on the development of Astana.
