“The existing infrastructure of the "Kazanskoye" checkpoint does not meet modern requirements and the growing needs of the region. There is a constant reverse movement, which creates traffic jams, and accumulation of waiting queue up to four hours. In 2023, it is planned to reconstruct the asphalt concrete pavement of the highway, widen the highway near the checkpoint to four lanes, and build a sidewalk for pedestrians,” - said Andrey Panteleev, Deputy Governor of the Tyumen Region.
He noted that the modernization will stimulate mutual investment and increase the region's trade with friendly Asian countries.
