Tariffs for medical services in Kazakhstan to be increased to 15% by 2020 - Birtanov

Astana. June 18. KazTAG - The tariffs for medical services will be increased by 15% by 2020 in Kazakhstan following introduction of the new packages of guaranteed volume of free medical aid and compulsory social medical insurance, said Yelzhan Birtanov, Minister of Health Care.
"Following introduction of two packages the tariffs for medical services will be increased by 15%, the salaries of medical workers will be increased by 30% in 2020. Expenses for medical aid per one citizen will grow up by 76% in 2020 against the level of 2019 and amount to 92.2 thousand tenge. Thus, introduction of compulsory social medical insurance will gradually lower the level of pocket expenses of people for medical services," he said.
