Syrian leader Assad rejects French order

Almaty. April 20. KazTAG - Bashar Assad has returned the  Grand Cross of the Order of Legion of Honours to France, reports Lenta.ru.
"The decision to return the Order followed the involvement of France in a triple aggression against Syria on April 14 together with the US and Great Britain,” reads the statement of Syrian president's office in Twitter.
National Order of the Legion of Honour is the highest French order of merit for military and civil merits, established in 1802 by Napoléon Bonaparte and retained by all the divergent governments and regimes later holding power in France, up to the present.
