Sum of microcredit on state program to be lowered in Kazakhstan

Astana. April 20. KazTAG - The sum of micro crediting for business development will be lowered in Kazakhstan in order to attract more self-employed and unemployed people, said Chengiz Akhmetov, deputy director of department of entrepreneurship development of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan.
"Within the frameworks of micro crediting program for business development, the sum of loan is planned to be lowered in order to attract more self-employed and unemployed people, funding will be provided first of all to those, who have studied the business basics," he said at the press-conference.
"We have prepared a number of amendments in the program (program of development of productive employment and mass entrepreneurship in 2017-2021-KazTAG). The main amendments concern money targeting on smaller projects for unemployed and self-employed. The program covers only self-employed people with no more than 3 years experience," he said.
He said the educational program for entrepreneurs will be enhanced.
"We often get the complaints, while poor knowledge of business conduct results in ruinous consequences. The borrowers should pass the basic business course. This year we will give priority to them," he added.
According to the business development agency, the average sum of micro crediting amounted to 10.5 mln tenge last year with 51 months maturity term.
