“Qazaqstan Steel Group will become a new investor in AMT. The shareholder is Kazakh businessman Andrey Lavrentyev. The company will be renamed QARMET,” a source told KazTAG on Friday.
The Ministry of Industry and Construction said that the government of Kazakhstan and the international company ArcelorMittal successfully completed negotiations on the purchase by the Kazakh state private equity fund Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC (QIC) of all shares of metallurgical enterprises ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC and ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Aktau JSC.
“This deal is important for the future of these enterprises and their sustainable development,” comments the Ministry of Industry and Construction.
