Rates on consumer loans increased by 2% in August in Kazakhstan

Astana. September 29. KazTAG - Interest rates on consumer loans increased by 2% in August in Kazakhstan, reports the National Bank.
“Remuneration rates on loans issued by banks for consumer purposes to the population increased by 2% in August: from 16.3% to 18.3%. The issuance of consumer loans to the population in August 2022 decreased by 2% or by KZT19 billion, to KZT839 billion,” indicates the report.
According to the report, KZT626bn of long-term loans were issued out of this volume, KZT213bn of short-term loans.
