"In January-September of this year, the volume of rail transportation through Khorgos at the border of China with Kazakhstan has increased by 44.68% to 386.3 thousand tons,” reads the message.
According to Chinese customs officials, over the period, the volume of turnover by rail transport through the border crossing in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in northwestern China has reached 4.397 billion yuan (about $ 634 mln), 48.4% up in annual terms. In the first three quarters, 3.761 international trains traveled through Khorgos.
