Payments to clients from insurers in Kazakhstan increased by almost 44% in January-October

Almaty. December 5. KazTAG – Payments to clients from insurers in Kazakhstan increased by almost 44% in January-October, reports the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market.
“Insurance payments for October 2023 amounted to KZT24.7 billion. Since the beginning of 2023, insurance payments amounted to KZT214.8 billion, which is 43.8% more than in the same period last year,” reads the review distributed on Tuesday.
According to the information, the increase is mainly due to an increase in payments in property and life insurance.
Insurance premiums for 10 months of 2023 increased by 23.7% and amounted to T795 billion, mainly due to voluntary property insurance.
As for the compulsory insurance, since the beginning of the year, insurance premiums of T160 billion have been collected, which is 14% more than 10 months of 2022, an increase mainly in compulsory insurance of employees against accidents and civil liability of vehicle owners.
Voluntary personal insurance premiums for 10 months of 2023 increased by 18.3% to KZT277 billion, mainly due to an increase in accident insurance premiums.
