Organizers of rally for March 8 were banned to hold planned events

Almaty. January 22. KazTAG – At a press conference in Almaty, the organizers of the women's feminist march announced a ban on holding peaceful women's rallies and a march entitled "The Voice of Kazakhstani Women" dedicated to women's rights and March 8 in Kazakhstan.
"Yesterday we received a notice of refusal to approve the march. There was a refusal for the rally, now there is also a refusal for the march," said Lyubov Vorontsova, participant in the press conference.
She clarified that the refusal was explained to them by the threat of disturbing public order during peaceful assemblies on the stated topic. According to her, they have received a total of 40 refusals since the last approved rally.
According to the participants in the press conference, in January they received refusals for 12 dates with the same wording.
