Next talks on Syrian crisis settlement to be held in Astana in April

Almaty. February 15. KazTAG - Presidents of Iran, Russia, and Turkey Hassan Rouhani,  Vladimir Putin and Recep Erdogan agreed to hold next round of talks on Syrian crisis settlement in Astana in April.
"They have agreed to order their representatives to hold next international meeting on Syria in Astana in April 2019," reads the joint statement made by the results of the summit in Sochi.
Astana process is an initiative of Russia, Iran and Turkey to resolve the Syrian conflict.
The previous round of negotiations in the “Astana format” on Syria caused a multi-vector assessment of the world experts. US State Department spokesman Heather Nauert said  this meeting did not bring any progress in the political settlement in Syria and could not make progress towards a political process in this tragic conflict.
Russia assesses the Astana format as a successful and productive process. Negotiations have been held in Astana since January 2017, the previous 11th round of negotiations was held in Astana on November 29, 2018.
