Nazarbayev congratulates Sargsyan on appointment to post of prime minister of Armenia

Astana. April 20. KazTAG - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has congratulated Serge Sargsyan on appointment to the post of a prime minister of Armenia, Akorda reports.
"I believe your political experience and professionalism will contribute into development and prosperity of Armenia. I hope the warm and friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Armenia will be strengthened for the benefit of two states. I wish you good health and new success on this responsible post, peace and well-being to the friendly people of Armenia," said N. Nazarbayev in a telegram.
S. Sargsyan was elected as a prime minister of Armenia on April 17. According to the constitution amendments adopted in December 2015, since 2018 the prime minister of Armenia gets the authority of the state’s leader. Since 2008 until 2018 S. Sargsyan was a president of Armenia. Armen Sarkisyan has been appointed to the post of the president, who, according to the amendments, is empowered with representative functions.
