Mukhtar Ablyazov loses refugee status by decision of French court

Astana. December 12. KazTAG - Mukhtar Ablyazov, a fugitive Kazakh banker, has lost his refugee status by a decision of a French court.
On December 8, a French court rejected the appeal of Ablyazov's representatives regarding the decision to deprive the banker of political asylum in France. Political asylum was granted to Ablyazov in 2020 by the decision of the National Court for Refugee Rights . Now, having received a refusal in the court of appeal, the banker has completely lost his chances of obtaining political asylum in France.
Now Ablyazov will face either expulsion from France or extradition.
