More than 15.5 thousand foreigners worked in Kazakhstan as of September 1

Astana. September 29. KazTAG - More than 15.5 thousand foreigners worked in Kazakhstan as of September 1, reports the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
“As of September 1, 2022, according to the permits of local executive bodies, 15,524 foreign citizens were working in Kazakhstan,” said the statement.
Among the permits for attracting foreign labor force (IRS) there are the following categories: 594 permits for managers and their deputies (first category), 3091 permits for heads of structural divisions (second category). The main part of the attracted labor force refers to the third (specialists) and fourth (skilled workers) categories - 8,894 and 911 people, respectively. Also, 1,430 people were involved in seasonal work, and 1,604 people - as part of a corporate transfer.
By type of economic activity, the largest number of people work in the areas of construction - 6139 people (40%); mining and quarrying - 1489 people (10%); agriculture, forestry and fisheries - 1256 people (8%); professional, scientific and technical activities - 1158 people (8%); manufacturing industry - 1154 people (8%).
