"Over 1.8 bn tenge have been allocated this year for acquisition of new equipment. We have developed a program for Kazhydromet modernization, as I know it will cost 17 bn tenge. We have changed the price list, they can increase salaries for their employees. It means that professional and experience people won't leave. I think the situation in this organization will change," he said.
He commented the situation answering the question about failure to alert people about hurricane which hit Astana on May 22.
"As for the hurricane it happened due to atmospheric phenomena when strong wind turned into hurricane. It is nature, it is difficult to predict," he added.
