Ministry of Finance will not charge any additional fees or taxes for cashless transactions

Astana. November 14. KazTAG - The Ministry of Finance is not going to charge any additional fees or taxes for cashless transactions.
"Cashless transaction systems, such as Kaspi, are getting popular as they are easy and there are no fees. The Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan realizes that growth of cashless payments contributes into reduction of shade economy. The Ministry of Finance is not going to charge any additional fees or taxes from such transactions, it is not going to conduct checks of cashless transactions of individuals," said Alikhan Smailov, First Vice Prime Minister of Finance- Minister of Finance in the comment about cashless transactions.
He said the Ministry jointly with the banks "will work on development of convenient and modern infrastructure for cashless transactions".
"As for business activity- it must be transparent. In compliance with the law, businessmen must issue fiscal checks, from January 1 2020- they must use online cash machines. Use of Kaspi in business field does not relieve businessmen from their liabilities. Availability of checks is important for protection of consumers' rights," he said.
"The Ministry of Finance is considering administration of profits of businessmen using cashless transactions in the business," he said.
