MIA revealed 15 000 citizens of Kazakhstan with double citizenship - Kasymov

Astana. December 12. KazTAG - Interior Ministry of Kazakhstan has revealed 15 000 citizens of Kazakhstan within 11 months who had double citizenship, said Kalmukhanbet Kasymov, Minister of Interior Affairs.
"Double citizenship is forbidden in our country. 15 000 people are the citizens of Kazakhstan, who mainly got the citizenship of Russia, without reporting to us. It means, they can come and get pensions here and there," he said on the sidelines of the Parliament.
Meanwhile, the Majilis has ratified the agreement with Tajikistan on cooperation in the field of migration. K. Kasymov said that other 12 agreements are being prepared for signing with Russia and other CIS states.
"A citizen of Kazakhstan comes with a passport of Kazakhstan, gets the pension, and uses our services. We reveal such things through our social provision, our border services. We have agreed with Russia they would answer our requests. We need such agreements to make it automatic, so we have signed it with Tajikistan. We are preparing other 12 agreements mainly with the CIS states," he said.
