Memory of Kazakhstani people dead from the coronavirus honored with a minute of silence

Astana. July 13. KazTAG - The memory of Kazakhstani people who died from the coronavirus has been honored with a minute of silence.
"July 13 in Kazakhstan is the day of nationwide mourning for the people of Kazakhstan who died of COVID-19. At 12:00, Nur Sultan’s time, a minute of silence was announced throughout Kazakhstan. Flags all over the country were dipped, all entertainment arrangements were canceled. As a sign of solidarity with the people of Kazakhstan, flags were also lowered at the buildings of diplomatic missions of foreign states in Kazakhstan. Memorial events are being held in all mosques and churches," reads the report.
Official mourning events with the participation of Kazakhstani President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took place in Akorda.
According to the latest official data, 375 people have died of coronavirus, however, the number of victims of undetermined pneumonia, which the World Health Organization (WHO) considers to be a new form of coronavirus, is growing.
