Measles morbidity in Kazakhstan below control level, Kazakhstan on the verge of seasonal growth of flu spread - Health Care Ministry

Astana. December 12. KazTAG - Measles morbidity in Kazakhstan is below the control level, while the state is on the verge of seasonal flu growth, said Zhandarbek Bekshin, chairman of the committee of health care, chief state sanitary doctor.
"The sanitary-epidemiological situation in the state is stable, there has been reduction on a number of infection diseases- we have fixed reduction on 21 infections. In general morbidity is below the controlled level. For this moment, morbidity makes 0.08, i.e 3.7 times below the control level," he said.
In his words, 201 lab confirmed measles cases have been fixed in the state.
"As in general it is children infection, morbidity prevails among the children aged under 14 this year," he said.
In his words no measles cases have been fixed in four regions - Aktubinsk, Atyrau, Kyzylorda and Pavlodar regions.
He added that morbidity with meningococcal infection is four times below the control level.
"As for the flu and ARVI we are on the verge of seasonal rise, we have seasonal ARVI spread, 15 flu cases have been fixed, 11 of them have been registered in Almaty," he said.
