“Central Stadium Manager Bauyrzhan Zhumazhan has already been suspended from his position,” reported the Sports Facilities Directorate.
The Directorate confirmed that the stadium’s western sector seats were not cleared of snow in a timely manner (2.7% of the total number of seats at the Central Stadium).
Photos and videos of benches covered in ice and snow began to circulate on social media before the match.
