"We have an up to date chemical plant, all the wastes are minimal. Fish live and feel well in our reservoirs. But you know the fairest index of water clearness is when crayfish live in it. They also live in the Sholaksor lake and in the channels. The Shandaksor lake is stocked with fish. The expertise showed the fish is good and suitable for eating," said Nikolay Tushinskiy, chairman of board of Ekibastuz GRES-2.
In his words, Ekibastuz GRES-2 invested over 341 mln tenge on ecological arrangements, other 154 mln tenge will be invested in 2018. Over 76 mln tenge were invested into preservation of water resources and their rational use. Under 5.5 mln tons limit of water use, last year the station used a bit more than 2 mln tons.
