Kazakhstan to introduce power generation with a total capacity of over 700 MW in 2024

Almaty. December 27. KazTAG – Kazakhstan has ensured the introduction of power generation with a capacity of over 700 MW in 2024, reports the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan.
“Kazakhstan introduced power generation with a total capacity of over 700 MW,” reads the report.
According to the information, power unit No. 1 of Ekibastuz GRES-1 with a capacity of 500 MW was put into operation, turbo unit No. 6 at Atyrau TPP with a capacity of 65 MW and boiler unit No. 8 at Zhezkazgan TPP with a capacity of 43 MW were replaced, and renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 163.35 MW were introduced.
