Kazakhstan's external debt increased to almost $167 billion at the end of H1

Astana. October 11. KazTAG - Kazakhstan's external debt has grown to $166.7 billion at the end of the first half of 2024, reports the National Bank.
Kazakhstan's external debt as of July 1 has grown by $3 billion compared to the beginning of 2024 and amounted to $166.7 billion.
According to the document, 87.5% of the external debt structure is long-term, over one year, external debt. 73.9% of the debt is loans and credits from non-residents and 8% are debt securities held by non-residents.
Kazakhstan’s external debt at the end of the third quarter of 2023 amounted to $161.9 billion.
