Kazakhstan opens IT Hubs in US and three other countries

Astana. January 21. KazTAG –Kazakhstan has opened IT hubs in the US, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and the UK, said Zhaslan Madiyev, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan.
“Kazakhstan is creating an international network of IT hubs. IT hubs have been opened in the US, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and recently in the UK. Kazakhstani startups have foreign infrastructure to attract investment and export,” Madiyev said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
To transfer international experience, the ICRAI has attracted leading development programs from Silicon Valley for startups. These are TOP programs such as Google for Startups, Plug & Play, Draper University and Alchemist.
"Within the framework of these programs, startups gain access to investments, knowledge and opportunities for scaling. About 70 startups received support under development programs. More than $30 million in investments were attracted," Madiyev added.
