Kazakhstan advocates reconsideration of quota in OPEC+ deal

Almaty. June 22. KazTAG - Kazakhstan advocates reconsideration of quota in the OPEC+ deal, reports TASS news agency.
"In order to perform the terms of OPEC+ deal Kazakhstan must be allowed to produce 100 000 bpd more than it is provided by the current agreement. Thus, the state advocates reconsideration of OPEC+ quota for oil production," said Magzum Mirzagaliyev, Deputy Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan.
"Our liabilities make 1.68 pbd. Today production varies between 1.7 and 1.8 mln barrels in different months. We would be satisfied if the quota is increased by 100 000 barrels," he said.
According to the report of the International Energy Agency, Kazakhstan has been failing to comply with its quota for several months. In May Kazakhstan increased production by 200 000 barrels.
