“Such big settlements in the Almaty region as Kapshagay, Kaskelen, Talgar, Yesik, Uzynagash are counter-magnet towns and satellite cities of the Almaty agglomeration, the city of Almaty, they are located in the zone of intensive agglomeration processes," reads the draft new interregional scheme of territorial development of Almaty agglomeration.
"All these territories are centered around the center of agglomeration- Almaty and are in the zone of Almaty agglomeration. It is the most populated part of the Almaty region where the majority of trade-financial and scientific- educational institutions are located in the Almaty agglomeration and has the most intensive agglomeration ties," reads the document.
