The recommended area for the NPP is the area of Lake Balkhash near the village of Ulken. All our findings have been confirmed by a consortium of Japanese companies,” Zhantikin said at a government meeting.
The optimal technology recommended for the construction of NPPs in Kazakhstan is 3.3+ generation water-cooled reactors, which have a high level of safety and improved economic indicators.
