"Prime minister of Japan Shinzo Abe said that Tokyo could start a dialogue with Pyongyang in case of successful talks between the leaders of South Korea and the United States with North Korea," said on Tuesday in the administration of the President of the Republic of Korea by the results of a telephone conversation between South Korean leader Moon Jae-in with the head of the Japanese government.
The leader of South Korea promised S. Abe to convey to Kim Jong un the position of Japan concerning the Japanese abducted in the past.
"Solution of the problem of abductees will help build peace in Northeast Asia," he said.
As previously reported, Washington and Pyongyang are considering the possibility of holding a personal meeting between US President D. Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong un, whose preparation presumably, has moved into a practical plan.
The American leader said on April 18 that the summit will be held in the coming weeks. The preliminary date is April 27.
