“On September 4 at 21:30, the butene oligomerization unit at the plant was shut down due to a leak in the E-1604 reboiler. In order to prevent an emergency, the fuel network of the unit was sent to the flare system. Currently, work is underway at the plant to thoroughly clarify the circumstances of the incident. In addition, work is underway to resume production operations. The Department of Ecology of the Atyrau Region will conduct an investigation into this incident,” the statement said on Thursday.
