Foreigners do not want to invest in water supply and education in Kazakhstan

Astana. June 24. KazTAG - Foreign direct investment in Kazakhstan's water supply in 2021 has almost quadrupled to $10.9 million, said Almas Aidarov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan.
“Foreign direct investment in the water supply of Kazakhstan in 2021, compared to 2020, decreased by almost four times from $42.8 million to $10.9 million,” he said.
According to him, investments in education, healthcare and other social services decreased by 2.6 times to $8.9 million.
Investments in the manufacturing industry grew the most - by 65% to $5.2 billion, while investments in information and communications increased by 80% to $386 million.
