“The court of Taraz issued a verdict against nine defendants in connection with the January events. Five of them were absent from the meeting room - they are not alive. They died from gunshot wounds. One of the defendants present in court was sentenced to two years in prison, the rest were released from custody after applying the amnesty,” the statement said.
As noted, the relatives of the posthumously convicted expressed dissatisfaction with the verdict and stated that they would continue the struggle for the acquittal of their relatives.
