First World Ethnic-Sports Games to be held in Kazakhstan under UNESCO initiative in 2021

Almaty. August 15. KazTAG - The first World Ethnic-Sports Games will be held in Kazakhstan under the initiative of UNESCO in 2021, said the press service of the Kazakhstan's embassy to Russia.
"Within the framework of the Turkic Games-2018 , which was held on August 12 in Turkish Erzerum, organized by the World Confederation of Ethnosport, the IV complex meeting of the advisory council and the meeting of the friendship group on traditional sports and games was held. The delegates considered the prospects of organizing the World Ethnic-Sports Games in Kazakhstan. The games will be held in 2021, initiated by UNESCO," reads the statement.
"2021 will be the year of the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence. And in the jubilee year the flag of the I World Ethnic-Sports Games will be raised in Astana, where the  competitions in selected national sports will be held," reads the message.
