"The video records at the press-conference "Government fighting with mothers and children" caught not only the faces of the attacking women but also how they were breaking the journalists' cams.
KazTAG editorial addressed to the people of Kazakhstan asking to help to identify the women and attract them to legal responsibility.
KazTAG reporters from the scene said that not long before the attack on the journalists they saw a district police officer in civilian clothing. One of the journalists recognized an employee of the law enforcement bodies.
The attacked journalists wrote an application to the police. The police arriving to the scene took the fingerprints of some mass media workers, some journalists refused to take part in the procedure.
As it was reported, journalists have been attacked at the press-conference on persecution of mothers in Almaty.
"Unknown women grabbed the phone from a journalist, camera men were not allowed to film anything. They broke the cams of the journalists of Almaty TV channel and Azattyq radio. These people grabbed our equipment. Police have arrived, but they are not taking measures," said KazTAG reporter.
Mass media workers had arrived to the press-conference entitled "Government is fighting with mothers and children".
"On July 4 2019 the investigatory court of Almaty changed the measure of restraint from house arrest to two months custody for Zhazira Demeuova, Gulzipa Dzhaukerova and Oksana Schevchuk who were charged being involved in the activity of Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan- group banned in the state. The women who have small children were charged preparing a protest action. Lawyer of Oksana Schevchuk wanted to tell the details how the search was held and the real approach to the organization which was declared extremist by the judgment of the district court," said the announcement.
Lawyer of Oksana Schevchuk- Galym Nurpeisov, and her mother, who is taking care of her four children, planned to speak at the press-conference.
