"The network of seismic stations recorded an earthquake on January 20 at 11.31. The epicenter was located 231 km north-east from Almaty on the territory of Kazakhstan. Energy class 11.3. Magnitude MPV 4.7," said the report.
The epicenter was located at 20 km depth not far from Taldykorgan.
The shocks made 3-4 points in Tekeli, 3 points in Taldykorgan.
A series of quakes have been recorded on the past three days, the majority of them hit in China but were felt in Kazakhstan. It has been the second quake on the territory of the Almaty region over the past few hours.
