Delivery time of goods across Kazakhstan to Trans Caspian Route has been halved - Senate

Astana. April 18. KazTAG – The delivery time for goods across Kazakhstan on the trans-Caspian international transport route has been halved, said Alibek Nautiev, deputy of Senate of Kazakhstan.
“Currently, work is underway to reduce the delivery time of goods from China to Europe along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. Currently, the delivery time is 19-23 days. Of these, on the territory of Kazakhstan - six days, half as much as last year,” Nautiev said at a discussion of a bill on ratification of the agreement between the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the government of the Republic of Turkey on international combined transport of goods at a Senate meeting on Thursday.
According to him, Turkey was in fifth place in terms of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and other countries, after China, Russia, Italy and South Korea in 2023.
“The trade turnover between Turkey and Kazakhstan has reached $6 billion: export volume is $3.6 billion, import is $2 billion. Today, the volume of Turkish direct investment in Kazakhstan is about $5 billion, in the coming years it is planned to increase this figure to $10 billion,” added Nautiyev.
