“The concert of the Kazakh rapper Jah Khalib, who openly supported Ukraine, planned in Moscow, will not take place,” , said Roman Grachev, general director of the Crocus City Hall concert.
Bakhtiyar Mamedov (Jah Khalib) is a Kazakhstani Russian-speaking rapper. He is known not only in his homeland, but also in other post-Soviet countries.
He planned to hold a big solo concert on April 23 in Moscow and on April 25 in St. Petersburg. As a result, the concert was canceled in two cities.
The publication writes that on social networks, users were unhappy and demanded that the performances will be cancelled. Musician Akim Apachev sent a request to the Ministry of Culture, noting that Jah Khalib can not only "support the terrorist Ukrainian army, but also finance the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
