CIS observer mission did not reveal any violations at referendum in Kazakhstan

Astana. October 7. KazTAG – The CIS observer mission did not reveal any violations during the referendum on the construction of a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan, said Leonid Anfimo, head of the mission.
“No, we did not reveal (violations during the referendum – KazTAG) not because we do not want to or turned a blind eye. We really did not reveal them. We are neutral observers and are trying to ensure that everything is carried out in accordance with the law,” Anfimov said at the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan.
On the day of the referendum, October 6, 2024, CIS observers worked in nine regions of Kazakhstan and visited 618 polling stations. They noted the high level of organization and transparency of the voting processes.
"The CIS observer mission believes that the referendum was held at a high constitutional level in a free, open atmosphere, in accordance with the constitutional law of Kazakhstan on the republican referendum," the head of the mission said.
