Benzapirene content in the air monitored in Almaty

Almaty. June 2. KazTAG - Benzapyrene content in the air will be monitored in Almaty, reports "Kazhydromet".
“Magzum Mirzagaliyev, Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan, instructed Kazhydromet to start monitoring the content of benzapirene in the air in Almaty from June 1 2020. Air samples will be taken once a week at five posts of manual sampling, the results of the analyzes will be published in monthly bulletins on the website and the pages of Kazhydromet social networks," reads the statement
Benzapyrene is an aromatic compound from a group of polycyclic hydrocarbons, which has the strongest carcinogenic effect and is extremely toxic. According to the degree of exposure to the body, benzapyrene belongs to the highest class of danger. It is formed during the combustion of hydrocarbon liquid, solid and gaseous fuels.
