Bad microloans to individuals amounted to 5.4% in Kazakhstan

Almaty.  December 5. KazTAG – Bad microloans to individuals in Kazakhstan in the portfolio of organizations engaged in microfinance activities amounted to 5.4%, reports the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market.
“The level of loans with overdue debt over 90 days (NPL90+) in the portfolio as of October 1, 2023 was 3.8% (as of January 1 – 3.7%). In the portfolio of individuals, this indicator amounted to 5.4% (as of January 1 – 5.5%),” the report said.
According to the information, the loan portfolio of the microfinance organization for the third quarter of 2023 increased by 5.6% to KZT2.4 trillion - an increase of 15.8% since the beginning of the year. Loans to legal entities in the third quarter increased by 2.3% to KZT804 billion - from the beginning of the year an increase of 10.1%, loans to individuals increased by 9.5% - from the beginning of the year an increase of 13.7% to KZT1.3 trillion, individual entrepreneur loans decreased by 0.3% to T331 billion – an increase of 44.2% since the beginning of the year.
