At a cost of T11 billion, 43 thousand people in Kazakhstan receive water for one to two hours a day - Senate

Astana. April 23. KazTAG - With T10.7 billion spent, 43 thousand Zhanakorgan residents of the Kyzylorda region can receive drinking water only for one or two hours a day, said Nariman Turegaliyev , Senate deputy.
“The construction of water pipelines was supposed to provide about 43 thousand residents of 28 settlements of Zhanakorgan district of Kyzylorda region with clean drinking water. T10.7 billion was spent in total: T5.2 billion for the Syrdarya and T5.5 billion for the Talap group water pipelines, (...) but drinking water is provided to the population only for one or two hours a day, "  he said.
According to him, out of eight wells drilled in the Talapa group water pipeline, water is supplied in insufficient volume, the water is mixed with sand, and since both water pipelines are not included in the list of critical water supply systems, people pay for water at the full rate.
In addition, due to the incomplete start of water pipelines, residents are forced to drink water from mine wells or small wells in the yards.
