"The capital's revenues exceeded T1 trillion for the first time. This became possible due to an increase in tax revenues in all major categories. The volume of investments exceeded T1.6 trillion and increased by 20.4%. More than 70% of this amount is private investment," Kassymbek said at a briefing by the Central Communications Service.
The akim reported that the gross regional product for the first half of the year amounted to 7%, which makes T5.4 trillion.
"The main driver is small and medium-sized businesses, which make up 72% of the capital's economy - this is the highest figure in the republic. The number of active SMEs has grown by 7.3% and exceeded 247 thousand," said the head of the capital.
