"The specialized interdistrict investigation court of Almaty has extended arrest of Damirbek Asylbek uulu until October 15," reads the statement.
As it was reported, he was detained within the frameworks of a scaled special operation held in Almaty, Zhambyl, South Kazakhstan regions and Almaty on February 15-16 in Kazakhstan under coordination of the general prosecutor's office, the national bureau for corruption combat for prevention of illegal activity in the customs field and combat with organized criminality by groups involved in smuggling on the bordering territories of the state.
Among the detainees were the officials of customs and law enforcement bodies, brokers, intermediaries, representatives of criminal groups and 2 citizens of Kyrgyzstan.
