Around KZT40 billion allocated the Cabinet for the construction and modernization of regional medical institutions

Astana. May 29. KazTAG — The government has allocated around KZT 40 billion for the construction and modernization of regional medical institutions, the press service of the Prime Minister reports.

“Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov signed a resolution on the allocation of T39.9 billion from the government reserve,”- the statement said on Wednesday.

It is reported that the project provides for the construction of 655 primary health care (PHC) facilities and the modernization of central district hospitals.

In addition, part of the allocated funds will go to:

• completion of major renovations of the maternity hospital building of the Arkalyk regional hospital;

• overhaul of two blocks of the Stepnogorsk multidisciplinary city hospital;

• overhaul of the main building of the Atbasar multidisciplinary interdistrict hospital;

• the beginning of overhaul of the Central Hospital of the city of Balkhash;

• construction of an extension to the main building of the angiographic operating room and placement of an angiographic installation in a multidisciplinary hospital in the city of Balkhash;

• reconstruction with the addition of a block to the building of the Shieli Multidisciplinary Central District Hospital and the construction of an infectious diseases department there with 30 beds.
