Almost half of Kazakhstan’s processed agricultural products began to be exported

Almaty. May 28. KazTAG – Almost half of Kazakhstan’s processed agricultural products began to be exported, said the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Aidarbek Saparov.

“Exports of agricultural products amounted to $5.3 billion. At the same time, the share of processed products in total exports increased to 43% and amounted to $2.2 billion,” - Saparov said on Tuesday.

According to him, the volume of investments in fixed capital of food production increased by 7.1% and amounted to KZT151 billion.

Flour production amounted to 3.2 million tons, which is more than twice the country's domestic consumption.

Particular emphasis is placed on highly processed grain products, for which a number of investment projects are being implemented.

In general, in 2024-2026 it is planned to implement 13 grain processing projects, Saparov noted.
