"115 928 residents of Almaty did not pay transport tax for 2020 worth more than T7.6 billion," reads the statement.
In 2021, transport tax revenues from individuals, according to the State Revenue Department, amounted to KZT5.3 billion. At the same time, tax authorities calculated the tax for Almaty residents for 2020 on 564.9 vehicles which makes more than KZT12.9 billion.
Thus, only 41% of Almaty residents paid the tax.
According to the information, the deadline for payment of the transport tax for 2020 is no later than April 1, 2021. Starting from April 2, the penalty is charged for each day of delay.
