A dangerous recurrence of crimes was revealed in the actions of Abzhan. Disagreeing with this verdict, the convict and his lawyers appealed against the judicial act. Since there are no grounds for canceling or changing the judicial act, the verdict was left unchanged and entered into force,” said the statement.
Abzhan was detained on July 3 on charges of extorting money "on an especially large scale from entrepreneurs under the threat of disseminating defamatory information in the media."
