Almaty. January 17. KazTAG - About 50 facts of violations of journalists’ rights were recorded in Kazakhstan on January 3-12, reports the international foundation for protection of freedom of speech "Adil soz".
“The Adil Soz Foundation has been monitoring the violations of the rights of journalists and the media during the state of emergency. The first results for January 3-12: death - one; injured - six; attacks on journalists - 10; attacks on newsrooms - five; obstruction (professional activity - KazTAG) - four; detentions of journalists - 11; threats - one; administrative arrest - four; searches, interrogations - six,” said the report.
The fund reported about the facts of theft, damage to editorial equipment and personal gadgets.
