“To determine the poverty line in the Republic of Kazakhstan: 1) from July 1, 2023 - in the amount of 70% of the subsistence minimum calculated for the quarter preceding the quarter of applying for state targeted social assistance; 2) from January 1, 2025 - in the amount of 50% of the median income calculated for the quarter preceding the quarter of applying for the appointment of state targeted social assistance, ”- the order of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population says.
The order comes into effect on July 1.
