504 phones and over 1 kg of drugs withdrawn in colonies of Kazakhstan in 2017

Astana. April 20. KazTAG - 503 phones and over 1 kg of drugs have been withdrawn in the colonies of Kazakhstan in 2017, said Oksana Loskutova, official representative of the General Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan.
"There have been the facts of delivery of prohibited items to the colonies. 503 phones and over a kilo of drugs were withdrawn in 2017," she said.
In her words, the jails' employees tend to bring these items.
"A scheme of drugs delivery by the deputy chief of regime section was discovered in Taraz. The attempts to deliver 9 phones by jail's employees were suppressed in Uralsk and in Arshaly, the Akmola region. 33 phones, a Wi-Fi modem and religious literature were withdrawn in Atyrau on March 19 and April 3," she said.
